Project 3
Theory Of The Paranormal
For my third project I worked with a partner, Haley Adams, to help a prove a theory of the paranormal. We worked together to collect data and research behind the land my house is built on, the prison camp during the revolutionary war that is located down the road, and inside stories of my house with the paranormal. With every piece of information we got, we were able to tie all these in to a bigger piece to connect the theory. We sat down with an investigator to evaluate and explain some of our stories and questions we still had, which made a a significant impact in helping our theory. As well, sitting down to communicate to the after life to see if we can seek the answers we were looking for.
The three weeks we had to work on this, we found new data and learned about communicating with the spirit world. Some things took us by surprise which we did not know before, it really helped our reasoning behind this become stronger. We enjoyed working together and doing something different for our project.

Reasoning
To reason is the form of thinking something in a logical way. Project 3 we focused more in the theory area of reasoning. We took what we believed and turned it into a project that contained proof. Each subject, we reasoned differently that had a connection to our overall theory point. While we started this project, we went in thinking one of two things; we'd get a response to our answers and prove this, or we would get nothing at all and this theory would not be proved. These would determine the route we took, but with the knowledge we gained, we went the first direction to finally support our reasoning.
HistoryHistory was the first subject we immediately touched. To learn more about what we were getting ourself into, we needed to do background information first. We began with watching different paranormal shows to help see what each investigator does. We took some notes of the devices used and questions asked. After watching many videos, we turned our attention to do the research behind our theory. Camp Security was a revolutionary war camp that was opened from 1781-1783. This camp helped the British troop armies of the prisoners that were caught, as well as some women and children from the area that were used to marry and support the men. Because Camp Security was down the road from my house, we decided that this might have had something to do with the paranormal at my house. We began research and got in contact with the Friends Of Camp Security, as well we went to the York Historical Society to collect files that the F.O.C.S. had placed. We read through many documents that might help us in the end to support our claim. For our final project, we decided that we should write a letter to the National Park Service to help preserve the land and keep the history untouched.

EnglishEnglish played the biggest role in this project, this section would help determine if the theory can be proved or not. We first approached this way as listing some why questions we had for an investigator and spirits that we would later communicate with. We got in contact with an investigator from North Eastern Paranormal Investigators, Randy Hammons, who works as a janitor in Haley's mom's school. We met with randy at the beginning of our project to answer anything we had, We told stories, from my house to Haley's. The information we got from Randy helped to get our theory organized so we knew what to look for. At the end of our project, we sat down to communicate with the spirits in my house. We did it at night and in the basement where we knew most paranormal activity happens, unfortunately we did not get enough to help. We moved the investigation to the kitchen which is where we got most of the contact from. For our final project, we took Randy's investigation and the stories from both mine and Haley's house, and turned it into an article that proves the reasoning behind the theory. We supported our evidence with Randy's answers.

ArtArt was our last focus as we wrapped up our project. We wanted to somehow incorporate all three areas into one big art piece. With lots of planning, we found what we wanted to do. To begin, we looked up the symbols that most people relate to death and spirits with. Some of these symbols are; cypress tree, tombstones, skulls, inverted cross, inverted pentacle, satanism, etc. Those symbols were the reasoning behind our art piece. We decided that the background should be the artifacts we found from camp security to relate to the history part. With that, we found some written documents and drawings we found, which were used to be layered in different sizes and ways. On top of that, we put down all the symbols we had in dark maroon and black images that were placed in different areas and turned to look like a cool pattern effect. English, we were debating on. hand drawn image or a real life image. We decided that the image we found worked better, and looked neater, than the drawings we made. We chose an elderly lady and three children to represent one of the spirit encounters in my house. The old lady is the orphanage keeper, and the children were orphans.

Our art piece covers all three subjects, as I previous mentioned. We chose these different symbols to represent death and spirits; 666, skull, tombstone, Skelton, inverted cross, inverted pentacle, cypress tree, illuminati, sacrificial, hexagram, and power cone.
The human like figures are the spirits in the English subject. We wanted these to be the main focus since these spirits play a big role in the theory. With the Gettysburg Ghost Gal's investigation, they told us that there is an old lady, who is the orphanage caregiver, and the kids that came with her, in my basement. Out of all the spirits that were known, I chose the old lady and kids because I felt as if their story was odd, I would of not expected to hear that these spirits were there. |

The Paranormal File to the left is a small book of ghost stories from Haley's house and mine, as well some questions from Randy's interview and what happened during investigation we did at my house.

The YouTube video to the left is the investigation we did at my house. We investigated late at night for about an hour. Our first spot to ask some questions was in the basement, where we left a toy in the middle of the floor. Since we were down there for twenty minutes and received little contact, we took a break and decided to go upstairs to see if we caught anything on video. Unfortunately, we did not so we decided to try once more in a different area in the basement for ten minutes, which again, we got nothing. Our last chance was to do it in the kitchen, where we got most of our contact from.
