About Me!
Hello! I am Ashley Doughty and I am a senior at Central York High School. I am super excited for senior year! This is my second year doing Apollo. Apollo is a course where you build what you want to learn about. It has three subject areas, but some take only two or all three; Honors Portfolio 2, Honors English 4, and Honors Self In The Modern World. In Apollo, you make your own standards and rubric of what you want to be graded on. Apollo gives you the free range of learning and creating what you are interested in.
I am taking Apollo for the freedom of learning what I want to learn about. I learn best from my pace and what intrests me best. Apollo is the perfect course for me to be able to do that! As well, you can make things fun within your projects. Last year, I was able to learn about paranormal investigation, and I was even able to do one at my house. This year, I plan to make that project even bigger.
Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family and friends. My family and friends mean a lot to me, especially my family that I don't see a lot. I also enjoy painting, traveling, doing new things, running, and working at my job. After high school, I want to enroll in community college and then transfer for my last two years. I hope to pursue a career in education.
